Evidence-based & holistic approaches to mental health

With training and experience in a range of evidence-based practices as well as holistic modalities, I work with clients based on their unique situations and support needs.

With experience in anxiety management, neurodiverse support & diagnosis processing, emotional eating, burnout, sensory-sensitivities, communication issues, couples counselling, co-parenting, separation, faith-inclusive and LBGTQIA+ community.

APPROACHES:

I use Counselling methodologies such as CBT (Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Nervous System Management - Poly-Vegal Theory, mindfulness practices, Te Whare Tapa Whā, evidence-based research methods for neurodiverse clients, Affirmative Therapy, Nature-Based Therapy and more.

Holistic modalities are often used in conjunction to support the client such as breathwork for nervous system regulation, meditation.

I am passionate about blending alternative wisdom with science-based psychology approaches to bring you the most integrated and supportive experience.

Our session will be

  • Personalised

    We will work together to create goals for our work together and work through the list based on need and priority. Whether you need a counseling listening ear, accountability, or active coach for the session, I used my various qualifications and skills to support you.

  • Holistic

    We will focus on more than just the cognitive element (the mind) but also on your body, nervous system, emotions, actions, relationships, and needs.

    We will take an approach that looks at your life holistically, and focusses on small changes for big impact.

  • Outcomes focussed

    I focus on providing space for you to share, but also ideas, techniques and tools for you to shift your emotions, thinking and actions. I am action orientated and suggest homework to help you make shifts between sessions so you get results and feel better.

Who do you work with?

For Holistic Coaching & Counselling I support those who are struggling to feel confident, connected to themselves. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, burnout, overwhelm, grief, body image issues, sexuality, neurodiversity or some forms of historic trauma. I work with people from all walks of life and a variety of ages, sixteen and above.

How much do sessions cost?

Sessions start from $129.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, your session will be confidential and your personal information will not be shared with anyone or agency without your permission unless subpoenaed in a court of law or if there is serious risk to you or another. Your family and friends will not know what you have shared.

How many sessions do I have to book for?

Most clients work with me for 2-6 months. We don’t work together for a long time, because people get results and feel a lot better.

What comes with session support?

If we have discussed anything for you to try at home, I send these notes or links to you in an email, free of charge. For those in coaching packages, you have access to a large portal of trainings, meditations, journalling prompts & tools to support your growth.

Who don’t you work with?

While I am a qualified counsellor, I don’t work with people who are in a serious mental health crisis, are currently suicidal, or disassociating. I don’t work with people with significant depression or experiencing severe PTSD. I also do not work with anyone under the age of sixteen.

Counselling Support

All Counselling sessions are 1 hour. In-person, Zoom or Phone.

After each session I provide you with a private email that high-level topics and any practices or tools we have discussed in the session.

Long-Term Counselling also offer:

  • 1:1 confidential sessions flexible as weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

  • Access to a training portal of videos, meditations, journalling prompts & tools for your well-being.

  • Accountability messages between sessions to check in with you.

  • Session summary when completed for referral options.
